Property Council is a group of both young and seasoned church members, who meet bimonthly or as needed.

We discuss and make decisions on issues such as

  • building maintenance, mechanical, contents, and grounds
  • work with and support our janitorial staff
  • parsonage upkeep and improvements
  • policies of the church building and its use
  • the church van use and maintenance
  • insurance on the building and contents

Next, we will implement a plan of action either to contract out the job or decide whether we have the gifts/skills to handle the job within our congregation. We will assign/railroad (ha, ha!) one of our members to oversee that job. We really work as a team, supporting each other in any way to get the job done. The committee members will organize the jobs getting tools and necessary materials to do each job, and schedule a date to do it.

The church members are made aware of the projects through church announcements, the bulletin, sign up sheets at church, or it may be printed in the Family Ties.

Some of our past projects include

  1. parsonage remodeling
  2. church painting
  3. tree removal
  4. paint parking lot lines
  5. replacement of lights inside and out
  6. general cleaning
  7. general maintenance

We would especially like to thank our retirees for all their work and accomplishments in sprucing up the church within the past year. We are sure many have noticed the changes. Be sure to give them a hearty "Thank You!" Thanks, guys!

As always, we are open to new members (women & men) who feel a call to use their God-given gifts and talents within our council. We encourage you to attend our next meeting. Find out when it is by contacting one of our members, the church office, or by reading the Family Ties newsletter.

Benefits: Companionship and getting to know others as you share your talents with the group and the satisfaction that you have done something that will further God's Kingdom through your service to the church and other members. (And sometimes a pretty good snack!)

P.S. If you like watching Tim the Tool Man, you should be a part of the Property Council!!! HUHOHUHO grunt More Power!!!
