NEW ONLINE!   Click here to view the 1970 booklet explaining the symbolism behind the unique architecture and design of Church of the Saviour's building.

This Symbol shows the people of God as being the servants of the Eternal Christ. The XP (Chi Rho) symbol is an ancient monogram representing Christ. The pitcher, basin, hand and towel picture the servitude to Christ and to the world by the people of God. The hand, being open, shows the willingness of the servant. Only as the people of God willingly serve both Christ and their fellow men, will the life and work of Jesus Christ be continued in this world.

The Church of the Saviour, R.C.A. is a congregation of the Reformed Church in America, the oldest protestant denomination in America with a continuous history, having begun in New York in 1628. Reformed in theology and presbyterian in government, the Reformed Church in America, as a servant of the Eternal Christ seeks to minister to all people.

Church of the Saviour is located in Coopersville, Michigan, about halfway between Muskegon and Grand Rapids. To get to the church, take I-96 to Exit 16 and turn right onto 68th Avenue. Drive past the fast food restaurants to the roundabout at the corner of 68th and Randall. Continue around and straight through the intersection and the church will be a short distance away (less than a quarter mile) on your right.

Near Exit 16 of I-96

To get back on I-96 heading East (toward Grand Rapids), turn left out of the church parking lot and go straight at the roundabout of 68th and Randall. Cross the bridge over the expressway and the entrance ramp will be on your left.

Getting back on I-96 West (toward Muskegon and Grand Haven) is a bit trickier, but not difficult. Turn left out of the church parking lot, but instead of going straight at the roundabout at 68th and Randall, go 1/4 circle right (West) onto Randall. Continue a short distance along this road and it will actually become the entrance ramp for I-96 West.

Thanks for visiting us, and come back soon!
